# 100 Number Sheets For Preschoolers

Well, lo and behold, this type of cryptography depends on prime numbers--very large prime numbers! Essentially, the theory behind this field hinges on the inherent difficulty of factoring the product of two very large prime numbers without knowing one of the primes. Thus by using the theory of prime numbers, cryptographers can encode sensitive data and thereby permit secure transactions over a public network like the internet. And the bigger the prime numbers, the harder it is to crack the code. Thus the search for ever bigger primes.

We know in education that it takes many correct repetitions of a fact for it to be learned. We used to think that number was 4 to 10 repetitions. Now we know it is more like 20 to 50 correct repetitions, and it is probably more than that for pre-schoolers. What most people don't know is that a mistake that gets practiced requires many hundreds of correct repetitions for the mistake to be "unlearned" and for the correct answer to be learned in its place. This is the reason I am constantly stressing to stay away from skill and drill worksheets. They make repetition of mistakes very likely.

I can't stress enough the importance of reading your child. I didn't say reading TO your child, although that is important. But read your own child. Pay attention to body language, facial expressions, shoulder shrugs, sighs of frustration. We don't want any of these to happen. We want smiles, happiness, excitement at success, a posture of pride not defeat. And never, never, never, allow boredom to set in. Your child will let you know when enough is enough. Just be sure you are listening or watching for it; and then respond immediately. "You have really done terrific, but let's take a break. What would you like to do?"

Children then need to understand how many is three, how many is four, etc. Use common objects like marbles, pencils etc. Keep them in groups to show how many is 3 or 4 and so on. In the beginning touch each object when you count. Let children start slowly first and learn to count up to 3, and then gradually one by one the number may be increased. Use every opportunity to reinforce counting skills in practical situations. For example the child could count out three biscuits, two bananas etc.

Maths worksheets are great fun to work with and have been created by skilled teachers who have utilised all the maths resources available to them for the best learning experience. Maths worksheets should challenge students and at the same time should not be a scary subject to attempt. Worksheets are a recommended mathematic learning source and an amalgam of the total syllabi. They are the top priority in the education system and are used as a learning tool by many parents, schools, teachers and students.

If your child can't do these things without errors, IT IS NO BIG DEAL. Your child will be ready to move forward on his/her own schedule. Never push them. Just continue playing-don't call it working-with counting and pulling out a matching number of objects and stay positive and keep reinforcing successes. Mistakes are not awful things. They are normal and to be expected. Could you learn a new language without mistakes? The only caution about mistakes is that they must not get practiced. This means you don't want your child to be allowed to match five items with the word "seven" more than once without a loving correction. Why?
